OuiVault uses a three-tier custody architecture. Active assets sit in a hot layer for fast access, medium-value holdings in a warm layer with multi-sig controls, and long-term storage in an air-gapped cold layer with time-lock withdrawals. The AI engine moves assets between tiers automatically based on your risk profile.
All key material is encrypted using AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2 key derivation (310,000 iterations, SHA-256). Seed phrases are never stored in plaintext. Client-side generation means your entropy never touches our infrastructure — verified by open-source code.
The full OuiVault platform will implement Shamir's Secret Sharing (SSS) to split your private key into geographic shards stored across independent, air-gapped HSMs. No single party — including OuiVault — can reconstruct your key alone.
